The Cosequin® Lexington 4*
The Cosequin® Lexington CCI4*-S is an elite international eventing competition that takes place concurrently with the prestigious Defender Kentucky Three‑Day Event in Lexington, Kentucky each April. This four-star short format (denoted by “S”) includes the full triathlon of eventing disciplines—dressage, cross‑country, and show jumping—over a compact schedule designed to showcase athleticism, precision, and endurance
Introduced in 2021, the CCI4*-S now serves as a U.S. Equestrian Open Eventing Series qualifier. Drawing top U.S. riders and international veterans, the competition consistently delivers high-performance riding and draws enthusiastic spectators who enjoy the world-class eventing action side by side with the five-star championships.
