About the Role
Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), producer of the world-renowned Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event (K3DE), is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team during the lead-up and execution of the 2026 event. This internship is a fast-paced, hands-on opportunity to gain experience in general marketing, media coordination, social media, and branding (including the Official Three-Day Shop).
The Marketing Intern will work closely with EEI’s marketing team, sponsors, vendors, and media partners to ensure seamless brand representation and elevated fan engagement across all platforms during one of the largest equestrian events in North America.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily social media content creation and posting across EEI/K3DE channels.
- Support onsite media operations, including distributing materials, escorting photographers/videographers, and managing media requests.
- Provide support for branding initiatives and activations, ensuring sponsor visibility and consistency across event signage, hospitality, and merchandise (Official Three-Day Shop).
- Track and organize content deliverables for marketing partners and media outlets.
- Assist with marketing-related logistics, such as collateral distribution, fan engagement activations, and hospitality support.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content and help manage digital engagement during the event.
- Other duties as assigned to support the success of EEI and K3DE.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, public relations, or related program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube).
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced environment, particularly during event week.
- Team-oriented, with a positive and professional attitude.
- Flexible and able to adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
- Physically able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, navigate the Kentucky Horse Park grounds, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- Passion for equestrian sport is a plus but not required.
